Welcome To Dartmouth

Dartmouth has posted highlights by position of the incoming freshman class. (Included in the video are several walk-ons.)

New to the list of incoming Dartmouth players but not in the video is Gage Guerra, a 5-foot-11, 265-pound walk-on offensive lineman from Centennial High School in Corona, Calif.
Incoming quarterback Bruce Dixon IV played high school football in Charlotte, N.C., but his hometown on last week's BGA list should have said Concord, N.C. Concord is about 25 miles northeast of Charlotte.

A Mother's Day story in the Shreveport Times digs into the history of the quote: "Behind every great man, there's a woman" and details a Dartmouth football connections. From the STORY:
Meryll Frost, a Canadian-born football player for the Dartmouth Indians, uttered those words after he was awarded the "Most Courageous Athlete of the Year" in 1946. Frost played at Dartmouth in 1941 and 1942 before the naturalized American citizen served his country in the Air Corps during World War II. Frost was trapped in a flaming plane that crashed over the Balkans, taking seven crew members. Suffering burns to his upper body and face, Frost survived and returned to the football field for Dartmouth in 1945, serving as the team's co-captain and triple-threat quarterback.
Former Dartmouth offensive coordinator Jim Pry gets a lot of mention in a STORY about his son Brent, the assistant head football coach at Penn State.
