Ticketed To Rio

Fanned on this yesterday so better a day late than missing it entirely. A Dartmouth '15 has captained his team to a berth in the 2016 Olympics.

Madison Hughes, honored by The Dartmouth this spring as the best male athlete in the college (LINK) in a poll that included Big Green quarterback Dalyn Williams, led the U.S. Eagle Sevens rugby team to the NACRA (North America Caribbean Rugby Association) title in North Carolina over the weekend, thereby helping the American squad qualify for the Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics. Find a story HERE.

Hughes, a New England Patriots fan by virtue of a mother who grew up outside of Boston, was raised with dual citizenship in London or he might have been a pretty fair wide receiver or kick returner according to someone who knows both rugby and football. Find a story I freelanced about him HERE.
The Friends of Dartmouth Football Golf Classic is Saturday at Hanover Country Club. For the second year there's an online auction component of the golf outing. There's something for everyone up for grabs, from golf at exclusive clubs, to vacations at resorts in the islands or in ski country, to prime tickets at an NFL game, to sports and Dartmouth souvenirs. Time to bid is running out so check out the auction HERE.
