Happy New Year

We celebrated the first day of 2017 with good friends in the beautiful Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and without my computer so I didn't have a chance to post Happy New Year's wishes yesterday. So, a day late, wishing you all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year!
A couple of personal notes on an otherwise quiet Jan. 2:

The picture above is from the end of a wonderfully sweet minute-and-a-half video celebrating the centennial year of the National Park Service. CLICK HERE to watch it.

In the March segment you will see one of the old snow-coaches that tours Yellowstone National Park in the winter. That Certain Dartmouth '14 is driving and giving tours in Yellowstone this winter in an updated version of these vehicles.

Better yet, check out the October slide of a "Junior Ranger" receiving a patch in front of the Mammoth Hot Springs Visitor Center. There's only one ranger in this video, and want to guess who that smiling ranger is? Yup!
While That Certain Dartmouth '14 is enjoying a whiteout in Old Faithful today That Certain Nittany Lion '16 will be involved in another kind of whiteout in Pasadena, where he is attending the Rose Bowl and hoping Penn State can salvage a little Big Ten pride. He's not the only one ;-)

See you tomorrow!
