You have to take my word for it, but I've got it from a good source (the fellow who shot the picture ;-) that the ball-retriever in the red-and-black plaid during a promotion between periods at last night's ice hockey game at Thompson Arena is none other than Dartmouth senior David Smith, the honorable-mention, All-Ivy League placekicker last fall. Smith, who spent a little time on the ice growing up in Montreal, was so successful in the "Hungry Hippos" game that he started tossing balls into baskets of other kids.
When the Hippos weren't on the ice the Dartmouth and Princeton men's teams were, with the Tigers taking a 6-3 win before a crowd of 3,866. (LINK)
