New Week, New Name

Joshua Betts, a 6-foot-2, 176-pound safety from Manatee High School and Bradenton, Fla., has Tweeted his commitment to Dartmouth HERE.

Betts' Twitter feed lists offers from Pioneer Football League members Jacksonville and Stetson as well several lower division schools. In addition to football he runs track.

Find his highlight video HERE.

Betts will join former Manatee teammate Seth Walter at Dartmouth.
Speaking of Walter, he placed fourth in the shot and wide receiver Masaki Aerts fourth in the 200 as the Dartmouth indoor track team won a tri-meet with Yale and Columbia over the weekend at Leverone Field House.
As a result of yesterday's games, the Super Bowl will have Dartmouth Class of '14 members on both sides. Former linebacker and captain Bronson Green works for the New England Patriots organization and Ryan Paganetti, who spent some time on the Big Green roster as a running back before injuries caught up to him, is with the Philadelphia Eagles organization. (See earlier BGA Daily posting.)

Both the Patriots and Eagles have players Dartmouth went up against four times. New England fullback James Develin '09 was a defensive end at Brown and Philadelphia safety Corey Graham, who picked off a pass yesterday, was a standout at New Hampshire from 2003-06.
