The Muleshoe Kid

This is a video of former defensive back Joe Adams '70 presenting one of his major Dartmouth awards to his high school in Muleshoe, Texas. Adams was an All-Ivy League, All-East defensive back and honorable mention All-America.

Adams' origin in Muleshoe is often cited as representative of Dartmouth coach Bob Blackman's tireless recruiting in every distant corner of the country. Adams goes on to talk about how he arrived at Dartmouth, about his dad driving up from Muleshoe to see him play and bunking in his frat, developing his style of tackling, and his admiration for his parents.

Adams is today an architect in Texas.

Dartmouth grad Ryder Stone carried six times for 19 yards in the Montreal Alouettes' exhibition game against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Johnny Manziel over the weekend. He gets a mention in THIS STORY.
