Hard is it is to believe it’s less than three weeks until the start of Dartmouth football practice. Given the Sept. 15 opener against Georgetown and the abolishment of double sessions, this is about the earliest start of practice in memory.

The Big Green Alert premium site will kick off new content on Aug. 9 with the first in the annual series of in-depth opponent reviews. There will be at least one full-length story EVERY DAY from Aug. 9 until the day after the finale against Brown. That BGA start date was picked to follow the Ivy League media teleconference, in which I’ve usually been able to pick up valuable insights that don’t show up on individual team websites. Unfortunately, the Ivy League has chosen not to have media members ask questions this year, but rather to record a round-table discussion among the coaches that will be posted at a later date. (Here’s hoping there’s a full transcript posted with the video for those of us who read ;-)
