Dartmouth quarterback Jack Heneghan gets a brief mention suggesting he might get a few more reps in practice this weekend with the San Francisco 49ers given that C.J. Beathard heading to Canton for his grandfather Bobby Beathard's induction into the NFL Hall of Fame. (LINK)

While it's pretty interesting reading about what the veterans are making, there's not a whole lot to report about players just trying to make a team. STATS has named its preseason watch list for the Buck Buchanan Award, emblematic of the top defensive player in the FCS. It's curious that Dartmouth linebacker Jack Traynor is the only unanimous selection to the All-Ivy League defensive first team returning this fall but Penn linebacker Nick Miller is the lone Ivy rep on the Buchanan watchlist.
