About The Practice Facility

The New Hampshire State Supreme Court has ruled on the Dartmouth indoor practice facility. Read their opinion HERE.

I'm no lawyer and after scanning to the bottom and double-checking with someone who is . . . it looks like a "go."

Or as another lawyer said, "Total win for the College."

Dear Alumni, Parents & Friends,

I’m thrilled to share the news that the New Hampshire Supreme Court issued a ruling in our favor today, overriding both the Hanover Planning Board and Grafton County Superior Court, and granting Dartmouth approval to construct our new indoor practice facility as originally proposed.

We are currently considering proposals from construction managers and are excited to move the project forward as soon as we can. With Leverone Field House bursting at the seams, this new facility will provide a badly-needed 56,000-square-foot artificial turf surface for use in inclement and frigid weather by hundreds of student-athletes in many sports.

This is a great day for our dedicated student-athletes and coaches who work tirelessly to represent the College and the Upper Valley community with pride. We are enormously grateful to our institutional colleagues for their support and perseverance, and, most of all, to our donors for their extraordinary patience and generosity.

All the best,
Harry
