Old friend Roger Hughes, whose first stop in the Ivy League was as Dartmouth offensive coordinator and who later moved on to be head coach at Princeton, is one of 15 finalists for the Eddie Robinson Award as the FCS coach of the year after a terrific year at Stetson. Hughes helped a team that went 2-9 one year ago go 8-2 this fall, its first winning season since the program was resurrected in 2013.Princeton head coach Bob Surace and Colgate's Dan Hunt are also finalists. In other coaching news, Brown's Phil Estes has "resigned" after a 1-9 season. Long regarded by many around the Ivy League coach who did the most with the least, Estes went 115-94 in 21 years at Brown, posting a .500 record of better 15 times. (LINK)
