I have been keeping my eye out for a story about the end of the Alliance of American Football featuring comments from Jack Heneghan because I was pretty sure some reporter would try to track down the well-spoken former Ivy League quarterback who was on the Arizona Hotshots roster after earning an economics degree from Dartmouth. In fact, Bloomberg wrote this STORY spun out of a Bloomberg podcast that includes an interview with Heneghan. Apart from his take on what went wrong with the AAF a highlight of the piece is Heneghan saying he'd be interested in playing in the new XFL, slated to kick off next year.

With Ivy League acceptances out the Dartmouth continues to have high school seniors hoping to extend their playing careers planning to give the Big Green football program a go. Add to the list Josh Green, a 6-foot-1, 225-pound longsnapper and defensive tackle at The Benjamin School in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. He Tweeted his plans HERE. Find his highlights HERE.Greene had 49 tackles, 8 sacks and 15 tackles for loss at his school, which previously sent quarterback Conner Kempe to Dartmouth.
Kempe, who graduated third in Big Green history for yards and completions, is now a lawyer in Florida where his bio includes mention of his Dartmouth football accomplishments. (LINK)
