(Some ;-) Camps Kicking Off

Dartmouth kicks off preseason practice 20 days from today but Week Two opponent Colgate is already in its second week of camp after advancing to the FCS quarterfinals last fall. The Raiders open the 2019 season Aug. 24 with a home game against Villanova.

Colgate coach Dan Hunt told his local CBS affiliate (LINK):
"This year is kind of interesting because we're picked to finish first yet people talk about how many guys we lost so you kind of have a little bit of both. People are coming for us, we understand that but also individually people are saying, well they lost a lot of people so you get to motivate them both ways. It's always fun if you're picked to finish first if you can go through and finish on that."

Week One Dartmouth opponent Jacksonville announced its start of preseason practice last Wednesday with this graphic, and is having its first padded practice this morning. The Dolphins open play Aug. 29 with a tough game at Richmond.

No word yet on when Marist will open came but the Dartmouth Week 5 opponent doesn't open until Sept. 7 at Georgetown so the Red Foxes are probably still more than a week away from reporting.
