Ready, Set, Go

Dartmouth players, coaches and staff board their charter at Manchester airport. (Click photos to enlarge them.)
Friday's walk-through was at the Jacksonville Jaguars indoor practice facility.
Former Dartmouth wide receiver and current special assistant to the GM of the Jaguars John Idzik '82 (black pants) addresses the team. Also sharing a few words was classmate and teammate Dave Howard, a former quarterback, in the striped shirt and shorts.
The team had a chance to check out the view from the end zone pavilion at the stadium.
It's a pretty good clue you aren't in New England anymore when there are palm trees outside the stadium.
As always, the team travels in a first-class manner.
The Florida Times-Union has a Jacksonville-Dartmouth capsule that includes this note:
JU is donating half the ticket revenue from the game to a GoFundMe account for Dolphins women’s basketball player Shalonda Neely of Freeport, Grand Bahama, whose childhood home was destroyed by Hurricane Dorian.
Jacksonville's game notes for the contest against Dartmouth can be found HERE.

Dartmouth's game notes are available HERE.
The Accuweather forecast calls for 85 degrees with 51 percent humidity in Jacksonville through most of the game.

Interestingly, Accuweather predicts an unseasonably warm 80 degrees with 43 percent humidity in Hanover at game-time so it's almost six of one . . .

The College Sports Journal picks the Ivy League openers and has Dartmouth winning today, 49-0. It also has Princeton defeating Jacksonville's Pioneer Football League compatriot Butler, 57-0, meaning it has the Ivy League's premier teams from 2018 winning by a combined 106-0. In defense of the PFL, CSJ does pick San Diego to sneak past Harvard, 31-27. Find all the picks HERE.
A reminder that you can hear Brett Franklin and Wayne Young call the Jacksonville game online HERE.

If have an ESPN+ subscription you can watch a live stream of the game HERE.
Check BGA Premium tonight for a game story. Depending on time constraints there may be a sidebar this evening but the guess here is that it will be posted tomorrow along with the regular Sunday column.

If you are a last-minute shopper and haven't signed up for BGA Premium yet (What are you waiting for? ;-) a reminder that the process, unfortunately, isn't automated. I will activate your account as soon as possible but it might not be until later this evening.
