Dartmouth thought it had a kicker in the incoming freshman class only to have him jump ship at the last minute. That being the case, bringing in a kicker for the next recruiting class was doubly important and the Big Green filled that requirement today with Owen Zalc of Green Hope High School in North Carolina announcing his commitment for next year:

Over his first thee years he was 20-of-26 in field goals including 18-of-18 inside the 40, and 61-of-63 in PATs. Find his highlight video HERE.
Zalc camped at Brown and Yale among others, drawing offers from both. In addition to placements, Zalc has also had success as a punter.
From his Chris Sailer Kicking review LINK:
Owen is a fantastic high school kicking prospect. He is a great looking athlete with a live leg. Owen does an outstanding job on field goal. He hits a pure ball, gets the ball up well off the ground and has 55 yard range. His kickoffs are strong for his class. Owen averages 65+ yards, with 4.0+ hang time. Also a more than capable punter.
The ProKicker website ranks him under the 2023 Recruiting Class/National Leaderboard HERE.
