Who Knew?

Can't take credit for this. It comes from a post on the FCS Football site.

FCS' longest active win streaks in season openers (with first 2023 opponent):

12 – Dartmouth (Sept. 16 at New Hampshire)
8 – Montana (Sept. 2 vs. Butler)
7 – North Dakota State (Sept. 2 vs. Eastern Washington)
7 –  Princeton (Sept. 16 at San Diego)
6 – Villanova (Sept. 2 at Lehigh)

Green Alert Take: Dartmouth's season-opening wins have come over (in order) – Bucknell, Colgate, Butler, Butler, Central Connecticut, Georgetown, New Hampshire, Stetson, Georgetown, Jacksonville, Valparaiso and Valparaiso.

Green Alert Take II: The streak will get a severe test on Sept. 16 when the Big Green opens at a revitalized New Hampshire program coming off a 9-4 season.

Pennlive has a story about incoming Dartmouth linebacker Max Schlager HERE. The senior at Pennsylvania's Trinity High School is shown here in a screenshot off Twitter with classmates also headed to college teams next year:

Offensive lineman Cameron Davenport of Ben Davis HS in Indianapolis is all smiles at his Signing Day.

Kicker Owen Zalc is in the Green at Green Hope HS in Cary, N.C.

EXTRA POINT
It's 5 degrees (below) and windy right now but it's supposed to get colder as the day goes on, so I better wrap up and hit the trail for my daily hike before it gets really cold.
