Dartmouth football will conclude spring drills today with the Green-White scrimmage and after a miserable month or so of weather Mother Nature has delivered. It's only about 50 degrees right now but the sun is shining and the temperature is supposed to reach 70 degrees by afternoon. Check BGA Premium tonight for a look at the scrimmage, the names of the new captains and the spring "most-improved" awards.

It's Kentucky Derby Day and as I have done in the past, I encourage you if you haven't – or even if you have – to read William Nack's story about Secretariat titled, Pure Heart. It's as fine a piece of magazine writing as you'll ever see. Find it HERE.

EXTRA POINT
This is a public service announcement.
This is a public service announcement.
As noted here a day ago, Mrs. BGA and I did our Green Up route yesterday and when we got home I found another tick crawling on my leg. They've been bad this year.
That being the case, I thought to re-share a trick a woman showed us one year when we had a garage sale and she found a tick. She asked if we had any Scotch tape, took a piece and pressed it onto the insect. Then she doubled it over and it voilá the thing wasn't going anywhere. It looked like a science exhibit.
You're welcome.
