The good news? You won't need ESPN+ to watch the Dartmouth-Princeton football game from Hanover on Nov. 3. The contest has been switched from Saturday afternoon to Friday night as part of the Ivy League's TV package and will be available across the country on ESPNU.
The bad news? If you usually come up from Manchester or Boston or Darien, Conn., and don't much like driving late into the night, you're going to have to get a motel room or settle in front of the TV because the game will be played under the lights, with kickoff at 7 p.m..
The Princeton game is Dartmouth's lone contest included in the Ivy League TV package with ESPN. Here's the full list of games:
Fri, Sept. 29 Columbia at Princeton (ESPNU)
Fri, Oct. 6 Cornell at Harvard (ESPNU)
Fri, Oct. 27 Brown at Penn (ESPNU)
Fri, Nov. 3 Princeton at Dartmouth (ESPNU)
Sat, Nov. 11 Yale at Princeton (TBD)
Sat, Nov. 18 Harvard at Yale (TBD)

From a story in The Dartmouth headlined, Sororities and fraternity hold powderpuff football game in honor of Josh Balara ’24 (LINK):
According to an email sent out by GDX, “an anonymous donor will match $10,000, so having the entrance fee brings us closer to our goal in supporting Josh and his community back at home.” The fundraiser sought to honor Balara’s memory by raising money towards the Josh Balara Scholarship Fund by the Luzerne Foundation.
From the story:
According to the Luzerne Foundation’s website, this scholarship is “a tribute to Josh’s legacy that epitomized exemplary character, kindness and sportsmanship.” It will be awarded annually to one football player from Balara’s high school, Dallas High School.
Editor's Note: Luzerne is the Pennsylvania county that was home to the offensive lineman who passed away in March.)

EXTRA POINT
We are heading north to Colchester, Vt., in a bit to finally pick up our 1984 VW Vanagon Westfalia poptop camper that has been lovingly cared for by the VW bus whisperer. It will be great to have it for the rest of the summer, although it will sit quietly for the next several weeks. More on that tomorrow.
