Virtually Speaking

In advance of today's Ivy League media day Dartmouth social media put out this graphic. Check in with BGA Daily later today or tomorrow morning for a few thoughts from the virtual event.

If there are any significant personnel revelations (there seldom are since this thing went virtual) they will be reflected in the opponent previews on BGA Premium.

Last night the 10-day series took a look at Columbia. It will continue tonight with Cornell and tomorrow with Harvard as it works its way to Saturday's opening Dartmouth practice.

There's no Hair-verd or Yell or Prink-tin, but I'm sure you can guess what school was badly mispronounced in this fellow's report on Matt Kaskey '19 signing with the Chargers:

For someone who has yet to play his first truly meaningful snap at Colorado, Shane Cokes has gotten one heckuva lot of ink (bytes?). He's quoted extensively in a story in The Athletic headlined, Deion Sanders’ Colorado experiment will soon be put to the test — how do players think it’s going? From the story:

“Championship, that’s our goal. That’s what we want to reach for our first year, no matter what,” said defensive lineman Shane Cokes, who arrived from Dartmouth before spring football. “We’re all working together to reach that common goal, and it comes from the top down, having Coach Prime’s idea in mind of winning that championship. It’s not a bounce-back year, go 6-6.”

Dismayed by all of the conference realignment, a columnist for the Daily Pennsylvanian has a piece headlined, This summer, I’m grateful for the Ivy League; Despite the Ancient Eight’s flaws, it has given Penn sports remarkable stability. (LINK)

EXTRA POINT

When I have my adjustable desk in the standing position it helps to raise the screen closer to eye level. I don't know about you but it saddens me a bit that the thing sitting on top of them made the thick volumes below it all but obsolete.

And yes, I have a Bluetooth keyboard and trackpad. ;-)
