Wish I could take credit for this one but it's from the Xwitter account of Dartmouth defensive line coach Duane Brooks:

That's from Boston College's 17-0 win at Syracuse on Nov. 3.
Pupel is safety John Pupel '22, who is second on the Boston College roster in tackles this fall with 77, and first in tackles for loss with 6.5.
Johnson is corner Isaiah Johnson '22, who is fourth on the Syracuse roster in tackles with 62 and tied for first in pass breakups with six.
Both Dartmouth products, now in their second year as grad transfers, will learn their bowl destinations tomorrow.

If you tune in to the ACC championship game between Florida State and Louisville tonight keep an eye out for No. 67 of the Cardinals. That's 6-foot-4, 305-pound John Paul Flores '22, the Cards' backup left guard. Flores started six games last year as a grad transfer at Virginia before moving on to Louisville, where he's appeared in 11 of 12 games this fall.
Although the Louisville game notes refer to Flores as a grad transfer from UVa, the football media director knows a little bit about where he started his career. That's because Rocco Gasparro was the assistant SID at Dartmouth from 2000-02.

The headline reads, Newsday Athlete of the Week is Garden City's Blake Cascadden and it's about a running back who ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns to lead his team to its third consecutive Long Island championship. Turns out the junior played wide receiver all season before being pressed into action as a running back because of injury. Find the story HERE.
This is the interesting part for BGA readers. The story notes he is a Dartmouth commit.
Oh yeah. I should mention it says he is a Dartmouth lacrosse commit. ;-)

Jake Novak down at the Roar Lions blog broke the news that is now being reported by several outlets that Columbia will be naming John Poppe as its new head coach. (LINK)
A Williams College graduate, Poppe led Union to a 10-2 record this fall in his first season at the New York School after more than a decade in the Ivy League. He served as secondary coach and recruiting coordinator for Al Bagnoli at Columbia from 2015-17. Prior to that he was an assistant secondary coach at Harvard from 2011-14. After returning to Cambridge he worked as secondary and special teams coach with the Crimson for five years before moving on to Union.

While it would appear Columbia has wrapped up its search for a new head coach, Cornell is still working to find a replacement for David Archer.

EXTRA POINT
Several years ago Hanover artist Doug Henry gave me a print of one of the paintings from his CAMPUSscapes of DARTMOUTH collection. Here it is with an appropriate knickknack that we had in our house when I was growing up.
