The University of Massachusetts figures prominently in the next step for a couple of former Dartmouth teammates. Linebacker Macklin Ayers '24, who played for the Minutemen last fall, has earned an NFL shot. Fellow LB Marques White ‘23, meanwhile, is headed to Amherst after spending a year at McNeese State.

The Dartmouth-UMass grad-transfer connection that started with linebacker Jalen Mackie ’22 and continued with Ayers is picking up steam. In addition to White, offensive lineman Kyle Brown ’24 and tight end Alex Geraci ’25 will suit up for the Minutemen next year.

Stopped by a farm stand on Sunday to find out when they would open for the season. It turned out they were already open. Sort of.
