Monday, Monday (And A New Name)

Dartmouth has added another name to its recruiting list:

Kiyante’ Ingram is a 6-foot, 185-pound safety from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Ga. His offer list features Princeton, Penn, Cornell, Florida International, UNLV, UNC Charlotte, Wofford, Wagner, Sacramento State, North Carolina Central and West Georgia.

The Dartmouth headline from the story about Saturday night's game brings up a surprising piece of trivia (LINK):

Dartmouth football’s 21-point loss at Harvard the largest loss in a decade

From the story:

Dartmouth’s 21-point loss was its largest losing margin since September of 2014, when it fell 52-19 to the then-no. 4-ranked University of New Hampshire.

Green Alert Take: Here's some fun trivia for you. How many times has Dartmouth won by 21 or more points since that last loss by 21 points? Give up? The Big Green has won by at least 21 points 32 times since then.

Maybe I've been living under a rock, but this is the first time I've seen an ESPN page that has links taking you to individual highlights from an Ivy League game:

Click HERE to go directly to the page featuring clips of Sean Williams' interception, Harrison Keith's interception, Grayson Saunier's 1-yard TD run and Owen Zalc's 46-yard field goal. (Along with Harvard highlights.)

The Analyst has a column coming out of Saturday that includes this (LINK):

Something to Prove (Ivy): Harvard is rolling at 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the Ivy League. Yale and Penn are tied for second place, but Yale won the head-to-head meeting 35-13, so the best-case scenario for the new (but old) kid on the block to gain multiple playoff bids is for the Bulldogs (5-2, 3-1) to win out and claim the automatic bid in a two-team tie for first place with Harvard, and the Crimson remaining unbeaten until that final rivalry game. They will probably have done enough by then to secure an at-large bid.

And finally, here are the updated standings:

EXTRA POINT

Have you adjusted to the time change? Are all the clocks in the house and in your car correct now? Did you have to dig up instructions for how to change at least one of them? Be honest, now.

Unfortunately, there's no manual for how to change Griff the Wonder Dog's internal clock. The goal is to move his dinner time by 15 minutes each day for four days until he's adjusted, but there are two problems.

First, I almost have to use my fingers to remember whether we move his 5:30 dinner 15 minutes earlier or 15 minutes later. Of course I know the progression should be 4:45, 5:00, 5:15 and then back to the usual 5:30, but I admit I always have to think it through.

The bigger problem is those big brown eyes at 4:30 when his body is telling him it's dinner time. Hard not to give in when he looks at you that way. ;-)
