Speaking about travels, former Dartmouth special teams standout Adam Scheier '95 is on the move again, this time to be special teams coordinator at Florida State. FSU coach Mike Norvell in a story on the Seminoles site (LINK):
"Adam brings incredible experience and a cutting-edge approach to FSU as our special teams coordinator. He has led units that, through an aggressive style of play, have provided consistent productivity in all areas. Adam's impact will be felt immediately through helping develop our players fundamentally while maximizing their skill sets in both our coverage and return teams. I'm excited to see our special teams thrive with Adam on staff."
And this from Scheier:
"I am excited for this opportunity to join such a prestigious program. Coach Norvell places a tremendous emphasis on special teams, and we share an aggressive approach and philosophy for each unit. Florida State has a long history of providing playmakers an opportunity to shine on special teams. I can't wait to get to work and continue that legacy with the Seminoles."
Since graduating from Dartmouth and starting his career with the Big Green, Scheier has made coaching stops at:
Columbia
Princeton
Lehigh
Bowling Green
Wake Forest
Ohio State
Texas Tech
Rutgers
Temple
UNLV

EXTRA POINT
Buddy T's Grill & Sports Bar, the new Hanover establishment named after former Dartmouth coach Buddy Teevens with the blessing of the Teevens family, had a "soft opening" last evening. I had a chance to stop by and chat with retiring defensive line coach Duane Brooks, Kirsten Teevens, and a bunch of old friends, including some I hadn't seen in a few years. Here's are a few snapshots I took. There's lots more to see in addition to good food and drink.
