Big Guy Day

The ubiquitous Emory Hunt, founder of Football Gameplan, has Dartmouth's Matt Kaskey as No. 24 among his draft-eligible offensive tackles per the video above. If you want to jump right to his comments on the Big Green's 6-foot-7, 325-pound unanimous All-Ivy pick CLICK HERE.
Speaking of big guys who got the job done, here's the highlight video for Dartmouth offensive line jack-of-all-trades Phil Berton, another All-Ivy first teamer last fall:

Green Alert Take: I have no idea if Berton had trouble keeping weight on during the season but watch the video and you'll see he certainly enjoyed his share of pancakes last fall ;-)

Green Alert Take II: As you watch the offensive line highlights you should be gaining a new appreciation for Keith Clark. That man can coach.

Green Alert Take III: Back to the Kaskey video. Every time I hear Football Gameplan's Hunt call himself The Czar of the Playbook I grimace. Mike Fratello was nicknamed Czar of the Telestrator by Marv Albert years ago (LINK) and there's room for only one czar behind the microphone. (Come to think of it, I can't recall Fratello ever calling himself by the nickname.) How about a little originality? Hunt can dub himself Potentate of the Playbook if he wants, but sorry, czar is taken. It's time for a reset.
Happy March! Spring football (and I use the word "spring" with caution) is next month. For what it's worth, it was 2 degrees when the Wonder Dog took me out this morning.

Now enough of the snow. The snow stick out front here is at 32 inches and it's about time for the stuff to go away. Unfortunately, there could be another big one coming. Argh!
