STATS has a story about FCS schools that have never appeared in the playoffs. (LINK) We all know that no Ivy League team has ever been to the NCAA postseason but can you guess which two Patriot League teams have yet to go on?
If you guessed Georgetown and Bucknell, you get a gold star.
Among Pioneer Football League opponents Dartmouth has played, Marist and Stetson are on the outside looking in. So is Valparaiso, which will host Dartmouth in 2021 and visit Hanover in 2022.

With a major medical center and the VA hospital the Upper Valley isn't quite as dependent on Dartmouth students being on campus as the town of Ithaca is with 24,000 Cornell students and 6,200 more at Ithaca College. Still, if Dartmouth classes are held exclusively online in the fall the local economy will take a hit.
An AP story under the headline, With no students, small college town worries over future focuses closely on how Ithaca would be impacted if students don't return. Legendary Collegetown Bagels, what should be a regular stop for anyone visiting Cornell, gets a mention in the piece. (LINK)

Speaking of colleges and the fall, Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, says the pros will have an easier time hitting the field than college teams this fall:
"It's going to be much more difficult for them to restart college football than to restart professional football," says @ScottGottliebMD as #COVID19 outbreaks hit college football teams starting practice. pic.twitter.com/D6GGjnq0ra— Squawk Box (@SquawkCNBC) June 22, 2020

A reminder not just to Dartmouth football players and Big Green athletes but to everyone to be careful about social media. What you write, what you say and what you do is like your shadow. It will follow you everywhere you go. A Cornell football recruit lost his spot on the Big Red roster this week for something posted on social media. I can tell you as someone who has looked at a lot of Twitter accounts over the past 10 years or so, there are others who, at the very least, will be embarrassed when future employers dig into their online past.

EXTRA POINT
It rained here in Vermont this morning! Not much, but maybe my lawn won't crunch and break when I walk on it this afternoon. Here's a map courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey that illustrates the "Daily Streamflow Conditions" nationwide. (LINK):
