Curious how many incoming freshmen have decided to defer admission a year? One school that has made that public is Harvard, which will have 1,168 freshmen in residence this fall with 340 deferring. That's just under one quarter of the Class of 2024 who have chosen to take the year off. Find a Harvard press release with that and other COVID-19 news HERE.
CNN has a story about Harvard's enrollment HERE.

EXTRA POINT
Two years ago, when we lived off-the-grid in the tiny house, it was squirrels. They were big, they were fat and they were everywhere – particularly on the roads with legions of them being squished by cars.
It's not squirrels right now but grasshoppers. In the past week or so more and more of them have been showing up here at the BGA World Headquarters. Fortunately they haven't made their way inside but they are on windows, porches and all around the house. Every time I head into our sunroom I'm flicking a finger on a different screen to send yet another grasshopper flying. They have even been on screens on the second floor. They aren't a plague – yet – but I'm almost glad I didn't plant a vegetable garden this year.
