Called it a day well east of Des Moines and should be in Illinois today. Mrs. BGA is collecting license plates since we crossed into Nebraska and has seen 35. My money is on seeing 48 ;-)
After spending a night at a free Wildlife Management Area campsite in Nebraska we were in a very nice park last night. We bent our own rule by paying to camp, but $7 wasn't much and "check-in" consisted of filling out an envelope and dropping it into an "iron ranger" collection box.
