Tweeting his decision to continue his academic and football career at Dartmouth is Braden Mullen, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker from Loyola Academy and Glenview, Ill. (Thanks to several emailers this morning for the heads-up.)
Committed! Huge thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way! #TheWoods #WoodsVi21on pic.twitter.com/BWj2QHVlXY

Per his Twitter account Mullen chose Dartmouth over offers from Pioneer Football League members Dayton and Butler as well as several smaller schools. Find his junior highlight video HERE.

Headline on an Associated Press story as the NFL heads into the second half of the season: The Latest: Home teams now 65-65-1 in this pandemic season. (LINK)
I went to college as a math major so I'm relatively confident that headline might also have read: The Latest: Visiting teams now 65-65-1 in this pandemic season. ;-)
In case you were wondering, home teams were 132-123-1 last year . . . and road teams were 123-132-1.

Finally, from the If You Thought You'd Seen Everything Department comes this:
New Mexico State University and Dry Point Distillers have launched Pistol Pete’s Six-Shooter, the first collegiate-licensed whiskey in the country. The whiskey will be available for purchase beginning Nov. 12 in and around Las Cruces. A portion of the proceeds will go to support NMSU’s more than 400 student-athletes.

EXTRA POINT
To the long list of things I don't understand you can add why exactly a snooze alarm is a good thing.
Look, I get that some people don't like waking up in the morning. But I mean, if waking up is so darn unpleasant, why would you want to do it two, three or four times each day?
To each his – or her – own, but it just doesn't make sense to me. Of course, maybe I don't understand because I'm a morning person. ;-)
