A couple of brothers of Ivy League players are in the news today, including one from Dartmouth.

Junior tight end Robbie Mangas' older brother, DJ, has been named passing game coordinator at LSU. (LINK)

And Princeton junior quarterback Brevin White's brother, Brady, has won the Campbell Trophy, referred to by some the "Academic Heisman." Brady White, a quarterback who has declared for the draft, is working on a doctorate in liberal studies at Memphis State. (LINK)
Don Brown, who got his coaching start at Hartford (Vt.) High School before crossing the river to get his college career started at Dartmouth, has in fact been named the new defensive coordinator at Arizona. (LINK)
Which of these is not like the others? Baylor, Dartmouth, Rice, Duke, Texas Tech, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh.

Once again, the Big Green's tireless recruiting sees the college rubbing elbows with FBS schools on the recruiting trail. This time it's for a Texas wide receiver named Caleb Douglas. (LINK)
Dartmouth classes resumed remotely today with most of the student who will be "on" this winter not returning until the Jan. 16 "delayed check-in."

The Dartmouth has a story about the 84 students who were on campus during the break under the headline, ‘Ghost town’ living: Students face isolation and dining concerns in interim housing. Hard to miss the word one student used for the feel on campus: apocalyptic. (LINK)

The school's COVID-19 Dashboard reports 15 active student cases and three among faculty and staff. Since July 1 there have been 47,012 student tests administered and 19,258 to faculty and staff.
This GIF showing up on a few Dartmouth Twitter feeds from a recent Homecoming is eye-catching:

EXTRA POINT
I've resisted temptations these past few years to use this micro-soap box to make any comments on the political climate in the country. It hasn't always been easy but it is extremely hard to hold back this morning.

I'll simply say that I'm glad my mother, who grew up in Denmark and took the oath to become a proud American citizen only in her final years, was not around to see what happened in her adopted country yesterday.
