Ring Up Two More For the Ivy

Time to update the list of Ivy Leaguers on winning Super Bowl teams.

Harvard product Cameron Brate caught three passes for 26 yards at tight end last night for the Tampa Bay Bucs. Penn wide receiver Justin Watson, who this season caught seven passes for 94 yards, was listed by the Super Bowl champions as an "inactive" for the big game.

Here are the Ivy League veterans who were on the roster (not the practice squad) for winning Super Bowl teams:

A few thoughts on the game:
•  Sorry, but after all the hype it ended up being a little boring. Anyone who thought the Chiefs were going to come back after the first drive of the second half was dreaming.
•  Can you imagine if Tom Brady had been forced to run for his life the way Patrick Mahomes was?
•  I'd give the commercials a "C-," and I don't think there was an "A" in the group.
•  I can't give the halftime a grade because I didn't watch it.
•  Once, just once (and this really pains me as a Penn Stater) I'd like to see the NFL turn the halftime program over to the Ohio State marching band for a real football halftime. (I promise I'd watch from beginning to end and be disappointed when the show was over and the game resumed.)

Dartmouth junior defensive lineman Alex Schmidt hopes to work in sports media after graduation and he's been getting solid experience interning remotely with website The Game Haus, which "aims to bring unbiased, factually sound opinions to audiences across a range of mediums that are not readily accessible in the day-to-day media outlets."

Schmidt, who lives in the Philadelphia suburbs, has been closely following the plight of the Philadelphia Eagles. Among his recent contributions to The Game Haus:

EXTRA POINT
I received an email this weekend from a friend in Virginia who said he just received our Christmas card. It went in the mail the week before Christmas.

Our friend said he didn't send out cards this year because "2020 didn't deserve it."

I totally get that.

Here's what I'm wondering. How many fewer cards will go out next December when people drop from their holiday mailing list the names of those they didn't hear from this year?
