Special Thanks

Spencer Brown, Dartmouth's highly regarded strength and conditioning coach, Tweeted a picture of a New York Giants shirt presented to him by defensive end Niko Lalos '20, who just finished his rookie year with the NFL team. Lalos wrote on this shirt:

Coach Brown,
I can’t thank you enough for how much you helped me grow in the weight room, on the field, but most importantly as a man. I wouldn’t be who I am today without everything you did.

On his Tweet from here Brown credited everyone involved in the program in "The Woods," writing (LINK):

It took a forest. A shoutout to the coaches @dartmouth_football and staff, and most importantly HIS TEAMMATES. @nlalos was another one of those guys who has A LOVE FOR THE WORK and committed to it every day. Learn from the past. Live right now. Prepare for the future.

Given that Lalos is in the spotlight today, it's as good a time as any to look back at his Dartmouth highlights:

Now that 2021 Dartmouth football opponent Valparaiso will no longer be the Crusaders, will longtime rival Holy Cross, which the Big Green has played 81 times since 1903, feel more pressure to drop the nickname?

EXTRA POINT
As I was about to wrap up BGA Daily yesterday I heard beep ... beep ... beep coming from downstairs. I did a quick "save" on my Mac and ran down to investigate.

It turns out our robot vacuum cleaner had become tangled in a wire and was sounding the alarm.

While the beeping is nothing more than an alarm it almost felt as if the thing was crying for help. Now that's anthropromorphism at its finest. Or worst?

Yeah. I've gotta get out more ;-)
