Worth A Watch

While YouTube is the "go-to" it helps to take an occasional look at Vimeo, as this 70-second video shows:

The filmmaker wrote that he "hoped to convey the sense of peace amongst students' busy lives that I felt every year as the leaves changed from one bright color to the next." I think succeeded.
From the peace on campus to something decidedly less peaceful ;-)

Writes a columnist out of Oklahoma (LINK):

Muskogee ex Victor Williams, he of the Dartmouth degree after a nice college career there as a receiver, makes his UFC debut April 24 in Philadelphia.

Find an earlier BGA Daily posting about Williams' pursuit of a boxing career HERE and his training website HERE.

Two former Dartmouth players were in action yesterday and two teams the Big Green is slated to face this fall have games this weekend.

Nose tackle Seth Simmer and Samford played their third ranked team in as many weeks, losing in overtime to No. 19 VMI, 38-37. Last week they defeated No. 17 Wofford in OT, 37-31. Two weeks ago they fell to No. 20  Furman, 44-37, in bonus football.

Simmer has 18 tackles and a team-high three QB hurries through five games with the Bulldogs. He had 26 tackles in 10 games at Dartmouth in 2019.

Albany and Caylin Parker slipped to 1-2 with a 17-10 overtime loss to Rhode Island yesterday. Parker did not have a carry but caught two passes for 14 yards. In three games he has one carry for four yards along with the two receptions.

Valparaiso, which Dartmouth is scheduled to visit in its Sept. 18 opener, fell to 1-1 with a 17-6 loss to Drake. Sacred Heart, 1-1, which is the Big Green's Week Two opponent on Memorial Field, plays host to Merrimack today.

EXTRA POINT
Mrs. BGA loves to have breakfast out. As I've written here before, our deal during the Dartmouth football season is we stop at interesting places for breakfast on the way to road games for her, and she drives on the way back home for me. That way I can get my story done for you while in the car.

With no Dartmouth games last fall those five breakfasts were off the table. Then again, given the pandemic all breakfasts out have been off the table.

Yesterday, for the first time in more than a year, Mrs. BGA and I actually went out to breakfast. The operative word being out.

With clear skies and warmer temperature on the first day of spring, Mrs. BGA and I drove to McDonald's and ordered at the drive-thru. After getting our brown bags we ate our McGriddles with the car parked facing the sun for warmth.

OK, it wasn't much, but it was a start ;-)
