There are a limited number of players on campus and it's certainly not a traditional practice but there is football of a sort on Memorial Field now that the spring quarter has begun, as illustrated by this photo posted by the Dartmouth football office.

While Associate Head Coach Sammy McCorkle will have to wait until fall for the season to begin, his daughter Maddie, a familiar face around Memorial Field, is in the midst of her season as a freshman on the Duke University women's lacrosse team. Find the story below HERE.

Given cancellations, Holy Cross has been declared the winner of the Patriot League's North Division and Bucknell the winner of the South Division. The teams will face off one week from Saturday in the conference championship game with a trip to the NCAA playoffs on the line.

In this space yesterday A Certain Wise Guy writing about receiving his second dose of the Moderna vaccine quipped, "I guess if I don't know if I have a headache, I don't have a headache."
It wasn't more than 15-20 minutes later that the side effects from the shot kicked in. I'm still not sure about the headache piece, but fever, chills and body ache hit me like a bag of nickels. It ended up being a pretty miserable day and evening.
It's 24 hours later and it would seem everything is back to normal but this time I'm going to keep my big yap shut and see what happens.
