Check It Out

Dartmouth's Call to Lead campaign has produced this video of the Graham Indoor Practice Facility. Linebacker Tanner Cross is among those featured talking about what I like to call The Green House:

EXTRA POINT
Can't say that went the way we planned.

Remember how Mrs. BGA and I were going to see the new Matt Damon flick Stillwater at the Nugget theater in Hanover yesterday? She worked her schedule to be done at DHMC by 3 p.m., and I had two interviews that brought me to town in early afternoon so the 3:30 matinee was perfect.

Unfortunately, after we spent $1.50 on a meter and strolled into the theater we were told that one of the projectors is broken, and when they have three movies scheduled to show simultaneously they have to cancel one. Just our luck that this time it was Stillwater. Unfortunately that had not been posted on the internet when we checked showtimes.

But as noted in this space yesterday, we are movie buffs and with a little Googling we found that there was a 6 p.m. showing at the theater in Montpelier, about 45 minutes from our home. Date afternoon would be date night. We could catch the movie in the tiny state capital and then perhaps grab a bite at one of several restaurants with outdoor seating on State Street.

The good news is that a 6 p.m. showing wasn't going to attract a mass of people and so we were every bit as socially distanced as we knew we could be at the Nugget.

The so-so news was the movie. It was, uh, so-so.

And the bad news? Welcome to July in Vermont. It was too cold after the movie to sit outside and eat, so we found a McDonalds where I had ridiculously dried out chicken tenders and Mrs. BGA had a quarter-pounder garnished with a piece of lettuce literally the size of a fingernail.
