There are stories at least a few times a week about high school seniors sitting on Dartmouth "offers" who choose scholarship schools. With apologies to those who bleed green, sometimes you understand. And sometimes you don't. (LINK)

If you missed the stories that came out when former Dartmouth quarterback Brian Mann '02 was named athletic director at William & Mary a piece posted yesterday by the Richmond Times-Dispatch will help you catch up. Find the story HERE.
For an original look at Mann's journey from Massachusetts high schooler to Dartmouth and eventually W&M, check out a "Tribe Scribe" story headlined, Athletics kept calling him back, and Brian Mann is glad he answered. In addition to comments from Mann's wife Hilary, the writer tracked down Caleb Moore '01, the All-Ivy offensive lineman who used to block for him. From the story (LINK):
"'Charmed' is the word my wife always uses to describe Brian," Moore said. "He would always have these stories, and you'd be like, 'Wait a second, you did what?'"

EXTRA POINT
It's just a coincidence, but sometimes these things make you shake your head.
You've heard of Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys, right?
We moved to our Vermont hillside a little over two years ago and in all that time had never welcomed anyone named Ethan into our home. Yesterday we had not one but two Ethans come by, independent of each other, a couple of hours apart.
The first was a friend of That Certain Nittany Lion '16, who stopped for a visit on his way from Pennsylvania to a vacation with his family in Maine.
The second was a family friend whose puppy we will be watching for a week while he enjoys a family vacation.
I'm no math major (although I went to college thinking I would be) but I think it's safe to say the odds against two Ethans stopping by in one day were pretty long ;-)
