Writer Brian McLauhlin's capsule on the Columbia-Yale game in New Haven, which he ranked ninth in the 10 best games of the week, has him picking the Lions by three.

Here's his full entry on Dartmouth-Harvard:

3. Dartmouth (5-1, 2-1 Ivy League) at Harvard (5-1, 2-1)
12 p.m., Saturday (ESPN+)
Both teams lost last weekend, though Harvard’s five-overtime game with Princeton was very controversial, with Ivy League officials admitting there were critical mistakes made by the officials in extra time.

Regardless, these are two of the league’s top programs right now – and four teams in the conference are tied in Ivy League play at 2-1, so this one is critical.

Harvard clearly has its best team in years and is trying to forget 2017-19, when it hovered around .500 all three seasons. The Crimson would much rather return to their form prior to the aforementioned three seasons.

Dartmouth has been stout for several years now under head coach Buddy Teevens, and like Harvard? It plays very good defense. Expect a low-scoring affair, just like Columbia-Yale.

Pick: Harvard by 3.

This screengrab from Weather.com shows a pretty miserable forecast for Saturday in Boston. Don't forget your bumbershoot. ;-)

The clip below about the MVP robotic dummy is from a Mobile, Ala., TV station's story that includes this:

“The head football coach, Buddy Teavins (sic), was called there to win an Ivy League Championship — he couldn’t keep his best players on the field. He literally one day drug in a dummy just like this to the engineering department, drug it in and said, ‘Can you make this thing move on its own?'” said Mark Bankford with Destination Athlete.

EXTRA POINT
With wind and rain stripping the last of the leaves from the maples to our east, this morning's sunrise over Mount Moosilauke was dramatic. Then again, it's pretty dramatic every day when the cloud cover isn't too heavy. Click to photo to enlarge it.
