From the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football website (LINK):

C.J. Lyons is a nominee for the Cliff Harris Award, which is presented annually to the top small college defensive football player in the country representing almost 500 NCAA Division II, III and NAIA colleges and universities.

Lyons began his career at Dartmouth. He was named to the All-Liberty League first team, D3football.com All-Region 2 first team and D3football.com All-America third team after helping RPI set a school record for wins in a season while going 11-2.

EXTRA POINT

That Winter Solstice mention the other day? It would seem Mother Nature was paying attention. When I took Griff the Winder Dog out this morning it was a brisk 3.2 degrees. Today's hike will wait until the temperature soars into the 20s ;-)
