Jamal Cooper, a 5-foot-11, 195-pound defensive back/athlete from Montgomery (Alabama) Academy High School, Tweeted his commitment this afternoon. From a story about him being named to the all-Capital City Conference team (LINK):
Offensively, the coaches selected Montgomery Academy’s Jamal Cooper, the Eagles’ tailback, defender and return specialist who moved to quarterback at the start of the 3A playoffs and guided the Eagles to a stunning upset of Catholic in the semifinals before suffering a heartbreaking loss in the finals to Piedmont. Cooper was actually placed on the team as an athlete on the defensive side of the ball because of his versatility on that side of the ball as well.
