Sean Williams is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound Dartmouth defensive back commit from Tennessee's Battle Ground Academy.
This is just a guess, but I wouldn't be a bit surprised if a few people who visit that school's Twitter page at footballbga have ended up here over the years by mistake. At least now they'll have reason to stick around. ;-)
This post appears on the Battle Ground Academy football Twitter page:
Congrats to Sean Williams who was an honoree tonight at the National Football Foundation and College Football Hall of Fame Middle Tennessee Chapter Banquet! This recognition reflects Sean’s commitment to academics, athletics, and service. pic.twitter.com/bqHKvJ73nr

Green Alert Take: If Williams had any questions about Dartmouth and Hanover he didn't have to look far for answers. Among the assistant coaches at BGA is Adam Hollis, a Big Green assistant from 1999-2007 and then for three years at Princeton. Hollis is the person behind the Glovelast glove shaper for golf and when we spoke several months ago he had wonderful things to say about Williams. (LINK)

With commendable staff stability, Dartmouth doesn't often show up on the FootballScoop website and rarely is the subject of a story like this (LINK):
He did a wonderful job for us. It was three tough years with COVID and everything virtual. He is a rising star. He has a good personality, he's decisive and he works well with people. He was highly recommended by Notre Dame and we really appreciated that. We hated to see him go. This was his last practice. He and Margaret were wonderful additions. He made us better, and did things that will help us as we go forward. He is a tough guy to replace.

EXTRA POINT
You may notice something different about BGA Daily today. After much fiddling around and a few false starts, there are several ads in the right-hand column. The back story is that until a few years ago there were ads in the sidebar each day. Over the course of the year the clicks they generated might have brought in enough to cover Griff the Wonder Dog's kibble. But here's the deal. Google only releases whatever revenue they generate when the total reaches a certain threshold. While some bloggers might hit the mark every day, I seem to remember getting there only after six or sometimes eight months.
I was nearing the threshold to get paid when I received a message that for a reason I still don't understand, BGA Daily's enrollment in the ad program was suspended. Several days ago I got an email that led me to believe all was forgiven and so I went back behind the curtain to reactivate the account. Hopefully I'll cross the threshold at some point this summer, at which point I'll decide whether to keep the ads over there or yank them for good.
