With news of former Dartmouth defensive lineman Shane Coke's commitment to Colorado yesterday this video went up focusing largely on his character and leadership qualities:

Boulder's Daily Camera newspaper has a mention of Cokes' commitment HERE.

On the first day of the three-day "early signing period," a reminder that with the COVID exception still in effect, the Ivy League's "true" seniors are all eligible to return next fall – unless they graduate before then.

Only fifth-year seniors are ineligible to postpone graduation for a quarter or a semester in order to return. For Dartmouth, that means the only members of last year's team who by rule cannot return are fifth-year senior running back Zack Bair, tight end Joe Kramer, offensive linemen Luca Di Leo and Griff Lehman, defensive lineman Alex Schmidt and Bobby Jefferson, linebacker Joe Heffernan and corner Robert Crocket III.

Craig Haley of Stats Perform has chosen his All-America and Freshman All-America teams and the only players who get a mention are from HYP.

Named to the All-America second team is Princeton wide receiver Andrei Iosivas. Teammate Henry Byrd, an offensive lineman, joins Harvard defensive lineman Truman Jones on the third team.

Yale running back Joshua Pitsengerger was chosen to the Freshman All-America first team.

It's the season of giving and the perfect opportunity for Dartmouth, Ivy League and FCS fans to help push the GoFundMe effort in support of Big Green offensive lineman Josh Balara '24, over the goal line. The target for helping Josh and his family in his fight against adrenal cancer was set at $40,000. You have helped the effort get to $34,799 as of this morning. With one final push the goal can be reached. To help out, visit the GoFundMe page HERE

EXTRA POINT
Here in the BGA World Headquarters I count no fewer than five defunct old MacBook laptops (only one of which was actually mine). I'd really like to recycle them but everything I've ever read or seen online wisely recommends their drives be wiped clean before passing them on. The problem is that three of them won't boot up at all and a fourth will turn on but won't do anything else, which makes wiping their drives impossible. (The fifth is an old MacBook of mine that has a dead battery and so much cruft on it that it is 1990s-era slow, although I occasionally boot it up to pull something useful off the hard drive).

I'll eventually figure out what to do with the old laptops. In the meantime, I guess they don't take up that much space. '-)
