Plus Two

Here we go. Welcome to a new week . . .

Tweeting their decisions to commit to Dartmouth over the weekend were two more high school seniors.

Samuel Washington is a 6-foot-2ish, 190-pound defensive back from Martin Luther King High School in Detroit. His Twitter lists offers from Saginaw Valley State and Wayne State. (LINK

Also Tweeting his intention to come this way was Steve Simpkins, a 6-2, 220-pound linebacker from Summerville High School in South Carolina. His Twitter lists an offer from the Presbyterian Blue Hose and has him with 101 tackles (17.5 for a loss) with 5.5 sacks last year while making the 5A Region 7 all-star team. (LINK)

While the Big Green is welcoming two new players another made it official that he is graduating and moving on.

Tailback Noah Roper had Tweeted photos in a Colorado School of Mines uniform before but it wasn't 100 percent clear until now that he is indeed heading back to his home state rather than using his COVID Super Senior season in Hanover.

Following up on yesterday's note about the big game Dartmouth men's basketball forward Dame Adelekun had against Columbia, it turns out he made the ESPN top plays:

EXTRA POINT
How many commercials were there during yesterday's NFL playoff games for upcoming theatrical releases and streaming TV shows/movies? I'll answer my own question. Too many. They've all run together.

But really, it doesn't matter to me. Those of us of a certain age are clearly not the demographic they were targeting.
