No practice week of April 16

The Dartmouth football team understandably has a lot on its collective mind this spring and one of the driving forces is this from last fall:


The Big Green doesn't elect captains for the following season until the end of spring ball but is fortunate to have two of last fall's captains back practicing for their Super Senior season. Safety Quinten Arello and quarterback Nick Howard spoke after practice last night about the drive that comes from last season's disappointment, the way the team has responded to the challenges this spring and how Sammy McCorkle has rallied the program. Said Howard of the acting head coach:

What Coach McCorkle has done is really jump on the uncertainty we had and squashed it. There’s no doubt anywhere in our program what our direction is, where we’re going and what we’re trying to get done.

EXTRA POINT
Our hiking trail on the mountain just a couple of miles from here is still mostly covered by a foot or more snow. But here on our Vermont hillside the snow is almost all gone, with just patches remaining where the sun doesn't reach it.
