Former Dartmouth offensive lineman Matt Kaskey '19 will be playing for the USFL championship after his Birmingham Stallions crushed the New Orleans Breakers, 47-22, in the spring league's division finals. The Stallions will face the Pittsburgh Maulers on Saturday night at 8 in a game that will be carried on NBC.

EXTRA POINT
I occasionally think about how crazy it will be if, for one day, something untoward happens and GPS stops working across the United States. I'm pretty sure a lot of young drivers wouldn't have a clue how to read a road map.
We got a hint of that yesterday driving the back roads of Ontario between Detroit and Niagara Falls because our GPS would not work across the border. We bought a pretty detailed regional map, and even though we do know how to read one, a number of the dirt roads we drove were not on the map. And thanks to some shaky signage, even the roads that did have a name or a number were tricky.
While we eventually managed to find a couple of little roads that skirted Lake Erie (which was beautiful by the way) it was quite a challenge. It left me thinking that drivers from the GPS-only generation would still be wandering those little roads as confused as a chameleon on a plaid shirt if their electronics failed them.
