Turk attended the Buddy Teevens camp last year, was in town for the Harvard game in '22, and took part in Junior Day in April. He chose Dartmouth over offers from Columbia, Colgate and Georgetown among others.
Among other standouts coming to Dartmouth from Loyola over the years were All-Ivy League linebacker Bronson Green '14 and All-Ivy safety Ian Wilson '08, both Big Green captains.

The Valley News has a story about new at nearby Lebanon High school including popular former Dartmouth freshman assistant Doug Johnson, who takes over as head football coach. From the story (LINK):
Johnson earned 12 varsity letters in football, basketball, baseball and track at Lebanon before successfully running local restaurants for more than 30 years. During that time, he was a six-year football assistant at Hartford before working on Dartmouth College’s freshman gridiron staff for a decade.
Johnson returned to coaching last season for the first time in nearly 20 years, working as a Raiders assistant. He accepted the head job early this year after it became apparent few others with appropriate qualifications were interested.
“I didn’t want to see a program fail that’s played continuously since 1896,” said Johnson, who’s spent significant time at the high school to raise his profile amongst the students. “We’re going to lose our program if we don’t pay attention to it.”

EXTRA POINT
They are expecting upwards of 100 of these old VW buses here this weekend. Given an issue with our 40-year-old Westfalia poptop camper Wiffle, we also brought a car (correction: Mrs. BGA drove the car) in event of a breakdown. With Griff the Wonder Dog coming along, hitching a ride back home if the worst happened would have been problematic, no?
