Big Addition

The Dartmouth recruiting class has grown in a big way. A 325-pound defensive tackle way:

The 6-foot-2, 325-pound Faalele has an eclectic offer sheet that features Illinois, Brown, Cornell, Alcorn, UT Martin. His brother Daniel is a 6-foot-8, 380-pound offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens by way of the University of Minnesota. The brothers are originally from Melbourne, Australia.

Faalele is the second IMG defensive prospect to commit to Dartmouth this cycle, joining defensive end Jackson Ashford.

The Dartmouth recruiting class as we (think) we know it:

• DE Jackson Ashford, 6-2, 250, IMG Academy/Bradenton, Fla.

• WR/DB James Elliott, 6-2, 195, Willison Northampton/Leeds, Mass.

• DT Taylor Faalele, 6-2, 325, IMG Academy/Plymouth, Minn.

• LB Tyler Kessel, 6-1 ½, 215 Summit HS/Summit, N.J.

• DE Leviev Kinlock, 6-2, 235, American Heritage/Plantation, Fla.

• OL Anthony Ndika, 64, 290, Loomis Chaffee/Nigeria

• LB Johnny Riley, 6-3, 210, Delbarton/Morristown, N.J.

• WR Luke Rives, 6-0, 170, Stratford HS/Houston

• OL Ryan Turk, 6-4, 280, Loyola HS/Los Angeles

Apologies for missing this over the weekend but Dartmouth grad transfer Robert Crockett III had an interception as starting corner for Bryant in a 44-14 loss at UNLV.

Now for what the wise guys are thinking:

• Central Michigan is a 14-point favorite over New Hampshire in the Wildcats' annual FBS game.

• Merrimack is favored by 6½ over Lehigh, which will visit Memorial Field on Sept. 23.

• Villanova is favored by 18½ over Colgate, the Big Green's Oct. 14 opponent.

And one last time:

There will be a Questions for Coach column on BGA Premium Friday and you can submit your questions at the link below.

All I ask is that you be respectful, don't ask about playing time for individuals, and please understand that interim coach Sammy McCorkle, like everyone around the program, is respecting the Teevens family wishes for privacy.

If you have a question for me to ask McCorkle CLICK HERE. That will address an email to me with the subject line, BGA Questions

Thanks!

EXTRA POINT

Taking notes at Dartmouth's practice yesterday I noticed that I had brought along an appropriate pen. I also noticed – and not for the first time – that when it comes to getting a message across, the people who imprint pens aren't fans of those of us who write with our left hands.  ;-)
