I haven't the heart to pull together your normal morning post. This is what I wrote last night on the other site and it will have to do.
I've known Buddy Teevens for about as long as I've lived in these parts and know how many lives he touched and changed, because mine was one of them. His willingness to let me try my hand at doing these pages, his encouragement, his patience, his kindness and the unbelievable generosity he showed with his time allowed me to have priceless time with my family that I never had before BGA. I will be forever grateful to Coach Teevens for that.
I am heartbroken for Kirsten, their children and those adorable grandchildren who always put a twinkle in "Coach's" eye, as well as the generations of players who were lucky enough not just to play for him, but in the end to call him a friend. No one ever had a more fitting nickname than Eugene "Buddy" Teevens.
Apologies to everyone out there but right now I am gutted and don't have any more words.
