Well Said

From last night's ManningCast:

#

Dartmouth freshman placekicker Owen Zalc is the Ivy League Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row after booting three field goals, including the winner in overtime against Penn. Linebackers Niko Schwikal (blocked punt and recovery that set up the first Dartmouth touchdown) and Braden Mullen (two sacks, four tackles and a fumble recovery) were named to the Ivy honor roll. Find the story HERE

Zalc also was one of eight honorable mention selections for the FedEx FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week.

EXTRA POINT
With the temperature reaching 75 degrees here at our Vermont hillside home yesterday I headed a couple of miles down the road to our town's little beach. Old-timers call this Hall's Pond but the rest of us call it Hall's Lake. It's home to the oldest girls camp in the country.

Although a couple of brave souls went in the water, which has cooled considerably with temperatures dipping into the low 50s and high 40s overnight, I spent my time on the laptop working on BGA things. The leaves have barely started to change around the lake but it was still beautiful as this photo from the beach shows.

The temperature in Hanover today be 80 degrees when practice kicks off. It could still be in the mid-60s Saturday for the big game against Yale, but unfortunately rain is in the forecast.
