Interesting

The Dartmouth 2024 spring roster has been posted HERE.

Of note, there are five fifth-year seniors listed: wide receiver Paxton Scott, tight end Nic Sani, linebacker Danny Cronin and offensive linemen Kyle Brown and Ethan Sipe.

Notably missing from the spring roster is quarterback Dylan Cadwallader, a senior last fall with potential for a fifth year.

Returning to the roster after not being listed a year ago are senior defensive back Ahmir Braaxton, senior safety Dillon Holifield and senior defensive lineman Zachary Lytle.

The coaching roster has not been updated.

Addressing the team this week was former linebacker Pat Scorah '11, Managing Partner at Capitol Legacy Group, Director of Finance, ONE Street Commercial Properties:

I freelanced a story about Pat Scorah during his senior season and knew he'd make his mark in whatever field he chose. CLICK HERE to read the story that begins this way:

The Dartmouth safety was going to be bunking with the Big Green linebacker and his family deep in the heart of Texas for a few months. As would be the case for anyone raised in cosmopolitan Washington, D.C., there was a threat of serious culture shock living in the land of Longhorns and Ford F-150s.

Ah, but maybe not the kind of culture shock you'd expect. “My mom was a little concerned because she cooks a lot of Korean food and she didn't know if Pat would like it,” said linebacker Matt Oh, whose mother hails from South Korea. “But I mean, he loved it. Absolutely loved it. He was all about coming into the house and getting another meal.

“It was pretty funny. He actually had to stop eating so much, that's how much he liked it. I swear he has some Korean blood in him somewhere.”

•
Pat Scorah of Washington, D.C., calls classmate Matt Oh of Coppell, Texas, his brother, and not in the, “How's it goin', Bro,” sense. More in the, “If you take that last cookie I'm gonna tell Momma on you,” sense.

It's a pretty safe bet no one would think they really were related. Not when the Oh is a 6-foot-2 Korean-American and Scorah a 5-foot-8 African-American.

EXTRA POINT
If you've been following along you know that while we were hiking one day a few weeks ago the passenger-side window of Mrs. BGA's car was shattered by some ne'er-do-well who made off with about $20. We decided from that point on to always leave the car unlocked while hiking. If there's something in the car you want – and trust me now there won't be – pull the door open and have at it. Just don't break any more windows.

Mrs. BGA and I hiked the other day and when we got off the trail and I grabbed the door handle – yikes – it was locked. Fortunately all the windows were intact. ;-)

There are times when the key fob automagically locks the car as you walk away. We've never been quite sure what the circumstances are that cause it to lock, but I guess it's time to finally read the manual.
