Anything Happening Today?

The Manchester Union Leader, which used to cover every Dartmouth home game but hasn't spent much time in Hanover in recent years, has a story headlined After first loss, Dartmouth focused on one thing: next game. Find the story. HERE.

Dartmouth athletics has a story about kicker Owen Zalc being honored yet again HERE

The Ivy League has a release HERE that recognizes Dartmouth linebacker Micah Green, quarterback Jackson Proctor and wide receiver Luke Rives as honorable mention selectees this week.

Harvard safety Ty Bartrum was honored as the defensive player of the week after posting 16 tackles in the Crimson's win Saturday.

By the way, digging around I pulled up some interesting facts regarding Owen Zalc's impact on the Dartmouth football fortunes. Be sure to check out yesterday's first note in the BGA OT Six-Pack HERE. And if you happened to just scroll through this site yesterday without paying attention, there were some interesting nuggets about what the placekicker has accomplished HERE.

The OT will have another visit from The Optimist and The Pessimist this evening, so don't forget to stop by.

EXTRA POINT
If I had my druthers I would hide away the next few days in the tiny house where Mrs. BGA, Griff the Wonder Dog and I spent our last summer before moving to Vermont. With no electricity, no TV and no internet – and steadfastly refusing to listen to the radio – I'd be blissfully unaware of all the wild speculation being spewed by network talking heads, podcasters, bloggers and the like until the craziness is over. ... If it's ever over.
