Add to the list of Dartmouth commitments the name John Hashem Saleh, a 6-foot-4, 265-pound offense/defensive lineman from Crestwood High School and Dearborn, Mich. Saleh chose Dartmouth over offers from Bucknell and a list of top academic DIII schools that included Amherst and Middlebury.

Former Dartmouth wide receiver/return specialist Jamal Cooney has declared for the NFL draft after spending a season at Albany. (LINK) Cooney returned 39 kickoffs for 791 yards (20.3 avg) with a long of 55 for the Great Danes. He had four punt returns and caught four passes for 52 yards.

Former Harvard coach Tim Murphy has been honored for his long and successful career in Cambridge. The Crimson reports HERE about the naming of Tim Murphy Field at Harvard Stadium.

The horrific news out of New Orleans hit close to home for Ivy League football. Among those who died in the senseless act was former Princeton wide receiver Tiger Bech, who was just 28-years-old. The Trentonian has a short story HERE.
