The Dartmouth has a story about safety Harrison Keith '27, who has added lacrosse to his athletic pursuits as a Big Green sophomore. From the story (LINK):
(H)is style of football play may translate well to the lacrosse field, according to football head coach Sammy McCorkle.
“I see his ability to play safety, his ability to cover ground quickly, transferring to lacrosse on defense,” McCorkle said.
Green Alert Take: With one daughter who played four years at Duke and another currently on the roster at Colorado, Sammy McCorkle has seen enough lacrosse to know. ;-)
More from the story:
According to (lacrosse coach Sean) Kirwan, Keith brings not just leadership skills and an unrivaled work ethic, but also the winning mentality of the Big Green football team, which has won back-to-back championships over the last two seasons.
Dartmouth men's lacrosse is off to a 4-1 start. It kicks off action in the always tough Ivy League March 22 at Penn.

Marist made the hiring of former Dartmouth tight end and captain Robbie Mangas '22 official. From a release (LINK):
"I am excited to add Robbie Mangas to our staff," (Coach Mike) Willis said. "Robbie has been a team captain at the FBS and FCS level. I admired him as a player at Dartmouth and competed against him for championships in the Ivy League. He has been mentored by some of the finest coaches and men in college football. It's rare to find a young coach as polished and prepared to coach Division I tight ends as Robbie; his interview was one of the most impressive I've conducted during my career. Robbie also brings recruiting prowess in key geographic areas to our staff. Robbie will make Marist better every day!"
Willis is a former Princeton player and coach.

EXTRA POINT
A neighboring farm has a right-of-way through the lower portion of our field that allows access to his "sugar bush," the stand of maples he taps for sap to be boiled into real maple syrup. To run, the sap needs temperatures above freezing during the day and below freezing at night. It hit 50 degrees here yesterday around noon and was 18 this morning. That being the case, a fellow driving an ATV with snow tracks on it headed across our field yesterday to check out the pump house, which funnels sap up to the farm instead of requiring a bucket brigade to the sugar house. Remember, it takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of delicious Vermont maple syrup. ;-)
